Data Access Tools

At Cornell, site licenses for Brio/Hyperion allow us to create the following deliverables:

Models

• Brio MODEL - Pre-built set of tables used for ad hoc inquiry. Users must have both data and Brio tool training prior to being granted "MODEL" access.

Briolites

• BrioLite - Brio application which allows limited ad hoc inquiry without needing the same in-depth data and tool training required for Brio MODELs. Gives the end user the ability to easily select data and either export data sets or send the data to pre-formatted report outputs.

Canned Reports

• Brio REPORT - specialized query, usually allowing for the input of variable parameters, that presents the data in pre-formatted outputs. May be incorporated into a BrioLite template or may be "stand-alone".
