The Student Records component of the STARS Project has three main areas of focus. The general Student Records area includes processes that support students while they are attending the university, such as registration, enrollment, grading, graduation, and transcript production. The second area is Academic Advisement which involves processes used by both students and their advisors to monitor academic progress. The third main area is Self-Service for students, faculty, and advisors. This area refers to applications that provide an intuitive web interface to the system that enables users to obtain and update their own data.
